If you would have told me a few years ago that I would catch the K-fever and come to love everything Korean, I wouldn't have believed you. But look, here I am, a total Kpop, Kdrama, and Korean culture addict! I have a whole story behind how I became a part of the Hallyu Wave and what it means to me. But I'm curious...does anyone else? What is your story about how you got into Kpop, Kdramas, or Korean culture? What do they mean to you? What do you enjoy or love the most about them?

I got into Kdramas, Kpop, and Korean culture the fall of 2018. My aunt lent me the Kdrama "Love in the Moonlight" and I enjoyed it so much! I had heard of Kpop before but had never checked it out. Once I watched "Love in the Moonlight," however, I got curious and started listening to Monsta X and BTS, and I was hooked!
At first Kdramas, Kpop, and Korean culture were merely entertainment for me. But now they have become a community. They have allowed me to connect with so many people, and I have gotten even closer to my friends and family! They have also been a source of inspiration and encouragement for me. They have expanded me, given me new dreams, and helped me find the courage to pursue those dreams and be myself.
I must also dedicate a paragraph to what they have done to my taste buds. The food is absolutely amazing! I used to be reluctant to try new foods, but not anymore! I have gotten to enjoy such treats as tteokbokki and triangle gimbap and mochi (to name just a few 😉) thanks to my wonderful family and friends, and the memories I have made with them make exploring Korean cuisine so special. 😊 ❤️
